About GetLCQ
The Licence Controller Qualification or LCQ is the training and assessment required before you apply for your Manager's Certificate to manage licensed premises. It is made up of two Level 4 unit standards:
- Unit Standard 4646: Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed premises.
- Unit Standard 16705: Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises.
Once you have successfully passed the online LCQ, we will upload the standards to your NZQA record of learning. NZQA will confirm when this has occurred, and we will email you a digital copy of your certificate. This is included as part of the course fee. After you have received your LCQ Certificate, you can apply to your local District Licensing Committee for your Managers Certificate.
